BB3500MP is an ultra-large cavity blackbody, which is the further development of the famous family of pyrographite blackbodies BB3500/BB3200pg, which are used by a number of National Metrological Laboratories such as NIST (USA), PTB (Germany), NPL (Great Britain), CNAM (France), VNIIOFI (Russia), NPL (India), NIM (China), UME (Turkey) and other for realization and dissemination of radiometric and radiance temperature scales.
Having a cavity with inner diameter of 57 mm, BB3500MP is ideally suitable for use as a furnace for large-aperture high-temperature fixed-point cells based on metal-carbon eutectics (Re-C, TiC-C, and ZrC-C). BB3500MP can contain as large fixed-point cells as 20 mm aperture. Even for small fixed-point cells (as small as 3 mm aperture) BB3500MP is a perfect furnace, because its large cavity allows to get better temperature uniformity of the small cell than with any other furnace.
BB3500MP has no welds neither water connections inside the chamber! Therefore, water can not go to hot parts of the radiator.
